Sadie Knoper

Sadie Buiter Knoper, age 90, of Grandville, beloved mother and grandmother, was taken home to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday March 11, 2021. Sadie was born in Schererville, Indiana, on September 10, 1930, one of twelve siblings. Over the years many of us were blessed by Sadie’s gifts of cookies and canned goods. However the most important thing in Sadie’s life was talking about her Lord and Savior, especially witnessing to people about her Savior Jesus Christ. Singing the Psalms brought her great joy and comfort - especially Psalter #114. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Buiter; husband, Don Knoper; and daughters-in-law, Laurie Buiter, and Sylvia Buiter. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, John Buiter, Everett and Linda Buiter, Tom and Nancy Buiter, Henry and Judy Buiter, James and Ginger Buiter; 19 grandchildren and their spouses; many great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Donna and David VanderKodde, John and Debra Knoper, Linda and Robert Lenting, Cheryl and Michael Atman, Debra and Kurt Van Overloop; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Diane Zandstra, Anne Vis, Clara VanBaren, Cornelius and Bernice Buiter, James and Janet Buiter, Richard and Mary Buiter. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Southwest Protestant Reformed Church, 4875 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. David Noorman officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, there will be no refreshments following the service. The burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Protestant Reformed Special Education Fund or any Protestant Reformed School.
