Ruth   Van Essen

Van Essen, Ruth Ruth Van Essen, age 98, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 30, 2014.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Van Essen and grandson, James E. Ritsema.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lorraine “Lorrie” and Dave Vander Ark, Esther and James Ritsema; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Monday 1 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Dr. John Primus and Rev. Kent Rottman officiating.  Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the James E. Ritsema Missionary Scholarship Fund at Kuyper College.
