Ruth Mastbergen

Ruth Ann (Haldorson) Mastbergen, age 90, of Jenison, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Ruth was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a charter member of Cottonwood Church and was devoted to her God and her church family.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Parnell Mastbergen; son, Paul Mastbergen; sisters, Carol Dokken, Jean Haldorson; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Mastbergen. She will be dearly missed by her children, Robert Mastbergen, Mark and Karen Mastbergen, David and Judy Mastbergen, Wayne and Karie Mastbergen; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; twin sister, Rita Vought; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marvin and Melva Mastbergen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at Cottonwood Church, 1101 Cypress Dr., Jenison, with Rev. Matt Palsrok officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunset Legacy Foundation.
