Ruth M. Smith

Ruth Mary Smith, age 94, of Farmington Hills, and formerly of Grand Rapids, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. She dedicated her life to the Sisters of Mercy for almost 80 years.  She was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters, Donald Seth, Albert Seth, Margaret Walter, Doris Carney, Louis Smith, Raymond Smith, Grayce Stanton. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Willard and Carole Smith; many nieces and nephews.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 11:00 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St, Jenison, 49428, with Fr. Don Weber presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with a vigil to be held at 8 pm. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10 to 10:45 am prior to the Mass at church.
