Ruth M. Schepers

Ruth Mae Schepers, age 96, of Jenison, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1988, and her parents Tom R. and Jennie Lutke, her siblings, Helen and Mike Boven, Genevieve Lutke, Alberta Lutke, and Harvey Lutke; her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gert and George Mulder, Elmer and Faye Schepers, Marguerite and Marv Vredevoogd, Lewis Schepers, Al Totten. Ruth was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family. Her dedication of faith and family was evident to all who knew her. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sharon and David Waring,  Norma Schepers, Dennis and Michele Schepers; grandchildren, Tom and Cheree Waring, Dale Waring, Brian Waring, Kelli Schepers, Jeremy and Samantha Schepers, Nikki and Eric Nederhoed, Chad and Abbie Schepers,  great-grandchildren, Joshua, Elliana, Zachery Waring, Isabella Doornbos; sisters-in-law, Ruth Lutke, Marguerite Schepers-Ettema, Barbara Totten; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 am at Sunset Manor Chapel, 725 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Jim Evenhouse officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also one hour prior to the service at Sunset Manor.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Love, INC.
