Ruth Laura Longcore, aged 89 of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Casper Henze, Paul Thomas Shamp; and brothers, Jene Norton, Clifford Norton, and Art “Bud” Norton. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Longcore; children, Frank Shamp, George (Joan) Shamp, Paulette (Steve) Levandowski, Juanita Valez; Art’s children, John (Chantelle) Longcore, Mike Longcore, Andrew (Kim) Longcore, Matthew (Tracy) Longcore; sister, Johan Balkon; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Mike Alber presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the church on Thursday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Church.

Grandma, I love you and miss you so much. I am so sorry I did not get to spend much time with you since I moved away but ill always cherish the memories I have from when I was young. I just wish I had the chance to say goodbye. I love you, enjoy your next chapter.

Ruth was my dearest friend here in florida. I have missed her terribly since she went north last winter. Her "full of life spirit" was a breath of fresh air. She was always true to herself with her genuine honesty. We will alway hold dear to our hearts the fun times we shared. I will miss you each day my dear friend. Our heart felt condolences to Ruth's entire family. She will be watching over us with a grin on her face!
