Marilyn Jean Poll

Marilyn Jean Van Hoeven Poll, age 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9, 2021. She was a woman of strong faith who cared for her family and showed unconditional love to each member. Her deep trust in God allowed her to face her increasing physical weakness with the sure knowledge that a place was prepared for her in heaven. Her family was blessed by the example of her unwavering love for her Lord.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Poll; granddaughter and grandson, Kim and Trevor Slot; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Van Hoeven, Jake and Helene Glerum, Bob and Sarah Poll, Tom and Helen Poll. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Mary and Craig Huizen, Bob and Denise Poll, Tom Poll and Pat Lewis; grandchildren, Todd and Marissa, Jenni and Kevin, Becky, Julie and Jeff, Tracy, T.J., Kaylee and Allison; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Abby, Samantha, Audrey, Lexie, Jack, Grace, Crew and Keaton; brother, Don Van Hoeven; and many nieces and nephews. The family gives special thanks to Faith Hospice for the compassionate care given by Lisa, Kristine, Teresa, Caleb, Jill, and Julie.

A visitation hour at 6:00 pm and Memorial service at 7:00 pm will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Beverly Reformed Church, 2141 Porter St, Wyoming, MI with Pastors David Brower and Don Van Hoeven officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trevor P. Slot Foundation or Habitat for Humanity of Kent County.
