Ruth Ellen Morgan

Ruth Ellen Morgan, age 76, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, in Warrenton, VA on Saturday, September 20, 2014.  She was born in Canada on October 3, 1937 to the late George E. and Alice Crabbe. Ruth is survived by her two sons, David Morgan (Stacey) of Warrenton, VA and Patrick Morgan (Marimo Nakamura) of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Elinor Atkins of San Diego, CA; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Kira, Rebecca and Benjamin Morgan, all of Warrenton, VA. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Francis Morgan; sister, Glenda Watson and brother, Dale Cameron. The family will accept visitors at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, from 4 to 8 pm on Friday with a rosary at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 520 Myrtle NW, Grand Rapids, at 10 am on Saturday, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave., Warrenton, VA on her birthday, Friday, October 3, 2014, from 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club, 1806 Bridge Street, NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49504.
