Ruth Elizabeth Kuipers

Ruth Elizabeth Kuipers, age 72, of Middleville went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Bertha Bos; brother, James Bos. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Gary; children, Rachel and Nathan Carpenter, Joshua and Kellie Kuipers; grandchildren, Henry, Alida, Gabriel; siblings, Ann Anderson, Ellen and Dave Vellenga; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ruth and Gary met while students at Calvin College where she graduated with a degree in Psychology and she went on to serve, along with Gary, as a Disability Employment Counselor with the State of Michigan. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, visiting family, and traveling. She was a giving person always wanting to serve others. A memorial service to celebrate Ruth’s life will be held 11 am Saturday, April 27 at Caledonia Christian Reformed Church, 9957 Cherry Valley SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Scott Greenway officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10 am until the time of the service at church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alliance for Children Everywhere or Camp Roger.
