Ruth D. Postema, age 94, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Postema; sisters, Mildred Postema, and Marian Postema; brother, Howard Postema. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Joyce (Henry) Toering; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews. Ruth spent many hours volunteering at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Love INC. following her retirement from a long nursing career.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, 49418, with Rev. Philip Vos officiating.  Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Love INC.
