Ruth Brackney

BRACKNEY - Mrs. Ruth Brackney, aged 88 of Zeeland, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014. Ruth was born in Leon, Iowa on August 14, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent; parents, Ellis and Vera Stubblefield, daughter, Jean Brackney, great granddaughter, Lydia Brackney; several brothers, sisters relatives and friends. Surviving are her children, William Brackney, John (Thelma) Brackney; grandchildren, Kelly Davis, Beth (James) Swinford, David (Rebecca) Brackney, Lisa Brackney, Kari (Tim) Trusheim, Amy (John) Pyke, Sheri (Steve) Gibbons, great grandchildren; Crysonia, Courtney, Taylor, Emily, Jacob, Jake, Victoria, William, Nathan, John, Allyson, Rick, Joseph, Makayka, Kara; great great grandchild, Kalaelah. Ruth and her husband were the owner's of Vince's Donut Shop in Tipton, Indiana. Ruth was active with the Prayer Warrior group at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Walden Woods. Per her wishes cremation has taken place. A small family service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday August 22, 2014 at Sunset Memory Gardens in Kokomo, Indiana.
