Ruth Ann Tanis

Ruth Ann Tanis, age 80, of Allendale, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 29, 2021. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert James “Jim” Tanis. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Amy Tanis, Rick Tanis; brother and sister-in-law, David and Joyce Bussema; and sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Al Rausch; as well as many loving extended family members and friends. Ruth spent over 40 years as a nurse in long-term care and after retirement enjoyed traveling out West and was very active in Miniatures and TOPS. She was a gifted quilter and a giving person of her time and talents and was always there to lend a hand. A joint graveside service to honor both Jim and Ruth will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
