Ruth Ann Hanko

Ruth Ann Hanko, age 85, of Jenison, went to be with her Lord on Friday, February 8, 2019.  Ruth was selflessly dedicated to her calling as a mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Fred; children, Janet and Peter Westra, Fred and Cathy Hanko, Carolyn and Brian Dykstra, David and Joan Hanko, Daniel and Andra Hanko, Mary and Angus Stewart; 33 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Clarence Schipper; brother-in-law, Vernon Herder; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Herman and Wilma Hanko; sister-in-law, Elaine Bos. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, 7194 20th Ave., Jenison, with Rev. Clayton Spronk officiating.  Interment will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. An additional visitation will be held on Monday from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Christian School of Lynden, Washington.
