Ruth Adamo

Ruth Bernice Adamo, age 95, of Jenison, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, February 10, 2018.  She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Barney and Anna Johnson; sisters, Irene Johnson, and Jeanette Curtis; brother, Harold Johnson; and brothers-in-law, Lyle Kohler, Gerald Boerema, and Floyd Hettinga.  She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Edith Boerema, and Laura Hettinga; sister-in-law, Esther Johnson; brother-in-law, Lee Curtis; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ruth attended Calvin College and graduated from Baptist College (now Cornerstone).  Ruth loved her family and also her church family.  She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida at Maranatha Village. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Sunset Manor for their loving care of Ruth.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship Church, 2260 Porter St SW, Wyoming, with Pastor John Dubois and Pastor Steve Kopp officiating.  Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Attic After School at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship.
