Ruby E. Blair

Ruby E. Blair, age 95, formerly of Wyoming, passed away peacefully with family around her on Thursday, February 9, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Grover William Blair and son, Jeffrey Blair. Ruby was a beloved mother to her children, Wayne and Eva Blair, Jane and David Owen, Kay and Mark VanderWal, Nancy and John Staal; beloved grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; brother, Chester Arndt; many nieces and nephews. Ruby worked for Walter Hagen Golf Products for many years. She lived on 36th Street in Wyoming for over 60 years and was involved with her church, Grace Lutheran, for over 50 years. Ruby could be found making bread and apple pies or going to an auction or garage sale. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, February 13, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Mark Bennink officiating. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, February 12 from 3-5pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Michigan.
