Ruben Diaz

Ruben Diaz, age 49, of Wyoming, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023. He was a friendly, humble man. He loved to help people with things they needed. Ruben also loved candy and carried it in his pocket. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, cleaning, talking with many people, and he was very grateful for his friend, Mark, who helped him through his recent heart surgery recovery. Ruben will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sierrah, Soffey, and Bianca Diaz; and their mothers, Rebekah Croel, Rosalva Salazar; parents, Manuel and Maria Diaz; siblings, Rossy Diaz, Manuel Diaz, Marisela Diaz; niece and nephews, Xavier, Yari, Romeo; best friend, Mark Yeakey. He was preceded in death by his infant twins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 22 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 225 32nd Street SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Luis Quintana presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday, May 21 from 3 - 8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming. Those who wish may make contributions to help defray funeral expenses.
