Roy Stanfield

Roy L. Stanfield, age 75, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Imojean Stanfield, and siblings, Billy Stanfield and Kimmie McKnight. Roy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 13 years, Lewann; daughters, Tina (Gary) Geyer, Nichole (Steve) Zomberg, Holly (Ryan) Bax, Kelley Stanfield; five grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Norman) Reed, Nancy (Fred) Cramer, Linda (Dale) Marquez, Kathy (Patrick) Shea, David (Ann) Stanfield, Debbie (Ron) Joseph, Randy (Lovera) Stanfield, Sandra (Ralph) Edwards; sister-in-law, Ann (Bill) Gillis; many nieces and nephews. Roy proudly served his country in the US Army. He had a good sense of humor with a big heart. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 8th, 11 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial Kent Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Dad, I'm sorry we were in and out of each others lives for so long. I could of tried harder and I regret that we've missed so much. I cherish our memories and you were a good dad and I love you to the moon and back!! I'm glad you are free from your pain and I know you will watch over us. Thank you for your gift of humor, it will live on in us girls!! I love you....love Tina xoxo

"My Roy", I am going to miss you brother. You always made people laugh with your humor! I am sorry that you had to go through so many health issues in your last days, but you fought a good fight. You are resting now with heavenly angels and the presence of other family members. We will see you again and until that day, I will cherish our time and carry you in my heart! I love you!!
