Ballard, Roy Gideon BALLARD – Roy G. Ballard, aged 92 of Wyoming, passed peacefully and went to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 27, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Berniece on March 2, 2014.  He is survived by his children: Betty Lou Ballard, Mary Ann (Kramer) Julien, Edward Roy Ballard, Debra Ballard and Robert Taylor; grandsons: Shayne and Amanda Ballard, Zachary Ballard; great-granddaughter, Breanna; sisters: Theola Wyrick, Lola and Ivan Wyrick; brother, Carl and Marion Ballard; sister-in-law, Marlene Pollock; brother-in-law, Ed and Jessie Pollock; many nieces, nephews and “adopted-by-the-heart” children and grandchildren.  Roy proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII.  Funeral services for Roy will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at Apostolic Faith Church, 1935 – 44th St. SE with Sfg. Bishop Allen Julien officiating. Interment in Freeport Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 5-7 pm at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave., Kentwood, and Saturday from noon-1:00 pm at the church.
