Rosita Maria Gutierrez

Rosita Maria Gutierrez, age 73, of Byron Center, went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, February 3, 2025. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Ruben; children, Alejandro (Allison) Gutierrez, Dalia (Nick) Sparks, Andrea Gutierrez; grandchildren, Mia Rae, Ruben, Emmanuel, Lola Rose; mom, Consuelo; siblings, Ricky, Aurelia, Consuelo, Benny; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad, Enrique; siblings, Aurora, Lawrence, and Angie. Rosita loved her flowers, coffee and cookies, JC Penney retirement group outings, exercise class, her dogs, and most of all her family. A funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday, February 11, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Peter Vu officiating.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 4-7 pm with a 6:30 pm rosary at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.
