Our Mom:
I have seen her open her posture, her breathing, her heart - hold her head up and stand in the middle of the most difficult situations.
She has repaired relationships, spoken her mind, and subtlety commanded the greatest respect and get results.
Small gestures spoke volumes - a raised eyebrow, a smile, pursing of her lips - to let us know how she felt about whatever it was we were saying or doing. She showed us to empathize with others by example.
She never told us don’t quit! She showed us don’t quit! She never said get up and stand strong! She fully expected us to get up and be strong! She let us decide what that meant.
She was always proud of us, always believing in us. Each one of her children knew that she loved them deeply. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss her saying “Buela loves you too.”
She was quiet and compassionate. She was fiery, feisty, and strong.
She is fierce, She is mom.
We love you mom,
Your children
