Rosella “Rosie” Westveld, age 83, of Allendale, a child of God, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday May 4, 2021.Rosie was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Jane Gemmen; her infant son, Douglas Todd; her brothers, Nelson, Lester, and Russell Gemmen; sister, Jean Van Haitsma. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 63 years, Harve; children, Tom and Holly Westveld, Todd and Chris Westveld, Kurt and Susan Westveld, Brad and Misty Westveld; her grandchildren, Tom Jr. and Melodee, Anthony, Taylah and Matt, Tara and Brandon, Tessa, Keely, Keaton, Carys, and JD; her great-grandchildren, Sophie, Nylee, and Maxwell; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jean Westveld, Dorothy Bosch, Ken Vander Kodde; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 10, 11 am at LaGrave Ave. Christian Reformed Church, 107 La Grave Ave SE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Peter Jonker and Rev. Ruth Boven officiating. Burial Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St. and also from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Henry Beets Mission Society or to Unity Christian High School.
