Santana, Rose Marie Rose Marie Santana, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2014 at St. Ann’s Home. Rose Marie was born in Tenamexcian, Mexico on October 9, 1920 and later immigrated to the United States, spending her entire adult career teaching first in Mexico and the rest of her teaching years in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her father, Jose M. Santana, mother Francisca Brambila and her siblings, Tallo, Angela, Beta, Rafella and Paula. Rose Marie came to St. Ann’s along with her best friend, Barb Spalding. Dear friends, Fr. Richard Lawie, Mike and Monica Tyler remained close friends with Rose Marie throughout the years.  We extend our gratitude to the staff at St. Ann’s who provided all her care. A memorial mass was held at St. Ann’s Home. Interment in Lincoln, Nebraska.
