Rosario Gaglio

Gaglio - Rosario Gaglio aged 84 passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019. Rosario was born in Sicily. He came to the United States in 1962 from Italy. He married his sweetheart Nina Terranova. They had 6 children, losing Caterina in infancy. They owned Ross' Pizza King for 10 years, then selling the business. Then they opened Ross' Italian Pizza and operated it for 35 years. Nina passed away in 1985. Rosario remarried Giuseppe "Pina" Pizzurro in 1987. Together they enjoyed retirement; traveling back to Italy to visit family many times. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Antonina Terranova Gaglio; daughter, Caterina. Rosario is survived by his wife, Guiseppa; children, Joseph (Gina) Gaglio, Giovanna (John) Kelsey, Frank (Kimberly) Gaglio, Ina (Daniel) Bergsma, Linda Sakocius; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Francesco (Francesca) Gaglio; many nieces and nephews here and in Italy. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday April 3, 2019 at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 101 Hall St. SE. The family will greet relatives and friends from Tuesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday. Prayers of the rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30PM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
