Rosalie “Rose” Postema, age 78, of Wyoming, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Tony and Phyllis TerBeek. Rose graduated from Wayland High School, worked as a secretary for several years, and provided childcare in her own home for 17 years. In her free time, Rose enjoyed spending time outdoors. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark VanderJagt; and her brother, Gary TerBeek. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 34 years, Roger Postema; her children and grandchildren, Jim and Jolellen Postema (Josh, Jeff); Lauri and Ken DePas (Jacob, Ben, Joel), Janelle and Frank Sherrod (Kyra, Frank Jr., Mason, Zala); six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcia and Earl Green, Vonda Trangmar; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 16, at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
