Ronald Roy Wilton

​Ronald R. Wilton, age 81, of Kentwood, MI, born on April 8, 1940, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lillian Wilton; sister, Marlene (Ron) Gramling. Ron was married for 57 years and will be cherished by his wife, Vicki Wilton, forever. Surviving him are his son, Timothy R. Wilton; his grandchildren, Thomas Van Wingen and Samantha Van Wingen; many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by extended family members and friends. Ron graduated from Wayne State University with a Business Degree in Finance. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany for four years. He worked for the U.S. Insurance Group, IDS/American Express, Ameriprise and Old Kent Bank. He was the treasurer of the West Michigan Mustang Club for 10 years and President for one and a half years. Ron was also a member of the Traveling Boots Dance Group and had many friends. He volunteered for the American Red Cross, Mel Trotter Missions and did taxes for the Kentwood Senior Center for the community. Ron loved to downhill ski, snowmobile and spend time at the cabin in Grayling, MI. A Military Memorial Service will be held on August 12th, 1 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family August 12th from 12-1 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood.
