Ronald “Ron” M. Nederveld

Ronald “Ron” M. Nederveld, age 80, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Friday, April 19, 2019. He was born May 17, 1938 in Jamestown Township to Edward and Jennie Nederveld who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Elzinga) Nederveld; children, Lisa (Julian) Whitters of Wyoming, MI, Greg  (Anna) Nederveld of N. Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joshua) Smith of Louisville, KY, David, Sarah, Joel, Esther, Daniel, Benjamin Whitters, Alec and Natalia Nederveld; siblings, Ken (Pat) Nederveld of Dorr, MI, Ruth (Mitch) Newenhouse of Hudsonville, MI; brothers-in-law, Allen Elzinga, Daniel (Sharon) Elzinga; sister-in-law, Rose (George) Knarr; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, April 27 at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Ian Macleod officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary or Holland Home Residence Assistance Fund.
