Ronald J. Oosterheert

Ronald Jay Oosterheert, age 79, of Jenison, was called to his Heavenly reward on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Tressa Oosterheert.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Evelyn; children, Kim and Gary Van Huis, Randy and Jodi Oosterheert; grandchildren, Angela and Nate Veltman, Zoe Van Huis, Rylan, Alyssa, and Emrie Oosterheert; great-grandson, Easton Veltman; sister and brothers, Shirley and Jay Van Dyken, Bob and Joyce Oosterheert, Glenn and Betty Oosterheert, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ron valiantly served his country in the U.S. Army.  Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and loved spending time with his family camping, boating, fishing, and hunting.  He was a humble follower of his Lord and Savior, Jesus, and had a servant’s heart for helping others and visiting the sick.  He enjoyed fellowship with friends at morning coffee meetings.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31 at 11 am at Bethel United Reformed Church, 8360 Cottonwood, Jenison with Rev. Steve Postma  officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may  meet the family Sunday  from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School.
