Ronald Dean Bradford, age 78, of Jenison, Michigan, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine; parents, Russell and Laura; brother, Russell; sisters, Dorothy, and Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Gene Louise; children, Debra James, Cheryl (David) Dotson, Sabrina (Tim) Stambaugh; step children, Brian Schild, Marcie (Richard) Herber; sister, Linda (Larry) Selby; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends; and dearly loved dog, Corky. Ron was a dedicated UAW member who worked at the Ford Motor Plant in Lima, Ohio for over 35 years. He was a true family man who loved his children and grandkids to the point of earning the nickname “Bank of Dad”. Ron spent much of his time going to arts and crafts shows with both Maxine and Gene. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20 at 11 AM at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home (Eastside Chapel) 828 Bellefountaine Avenue, Lima, Ohio. Interment will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos, Ohio. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, January 18 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive SW, Grandville, Michigan and Wednesday, January 20 from 10-11 AM prior to the service at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Lima Rescue Mission.

Gene Louise, I am so very disappointed not to be in Michigan to say good bye to my dear fellow 'Lutheran'. He will be missed! I am praying for you and hope to see you when I return. But I take comfort in the fact that Ron is dancing with Jesus-lucky him!
