Ronald Chapin

Mr. Ronald Lee Chapin aged 64 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alta; brothers, Russell, Richard and Chester; sister, Barbara Sexton. Surviving are his daughter, Vicky Chapin; son, Jan (Janice) Chapin; grandchildren, Joshua Pasikowski, Stacey, Trenton and Justin Chapin; great grandchildren, Lydia and Derek; sisters and brother, Betty (Bob) Bronson, Ruth (Marv) Gage, Lawrence (Betty) Chapin; brother-in-law, Coke Sexton; sister-in-law, Karen (Lloyd) Hale; several nieces and nephews. Ron graduated from Godwin High School in 1964, following graduation he proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Spartan Stores in 1999. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, February 4, 2010 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. His family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
