Donna & I met Rol & Lil in the Fall of 1991 as a young couple headed to the mission field. We feel as if they adopted us into their family and we have many wonderful memories of spending time with them and their family over the years. We will sorely missing seeing him on our next Grandville. We send our love and prayers to the family!

Rowland was a man of faith who had a comforting personally. I didn't see him that often but when saw each other he would smile and chat for a few minutes. His smile was infectious. Rest in peace, Rowland

Our friendship goes back to the late 1960's when he was my zoology instructor and I was a student worker in his department. A few years later I was working in the GRJC President's Office, and Rollie and I were colleagues. Not only was he a wonderful instructor. he was a man who cared about his students. his co-worlers and most of all his family. I feel blessed to have known him throughout my life. Rest in peace, my friend.

Rol was [and still is] a great example of a Christian man who loved God, his wife, family and whoever else God put in his path, including Caroline and I and our family.. Our prayers go up to Our Lord for your family. Gib and Caroline Giblin

I will greatly miss visiting with such a kind and fun loving man of God. Rol came to be much more than a friend over the past several years. Our loss is heaven's gain. May Jesus hold the family close as you mourn, knowing that our Lord and Savior holds him now and forever.

Dear Mr. C. You were the best! A 1 in a million. You were funny, kind, thoughtful, witty, and fun to be with you. I'm so glad I knew you most of my life. I am so happy you said you would be my foster dad. Thank you! I smile thinking of you with Lillian in heaven together again. I will miss you until I see you in heaven. Much love to Cindy, Sharon, Pam and Rollie. You had the best dad! Love, Marilyn
