Gani, Roland We lost a great man, Rev. Roland “Nunno” Gani, age 80, of Grandville, on Sunday, December 21, 2014, the man with all the answers, the man who loved his family and Jesus more than anyone we knew, the man with a heart so giving and kind, everything he owned was not only his alone, the man everyone strived to be. He gave everything he had in this life, and we know that even still, he is giving and sharing all his praise, all his joy, and all his love with those in heaven. Nunno, we cannot thank you enough for all the wonderful memories; we’ll see you soon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol; children, Paul and Deborah Gani, Peter and Laurie Gani, Mary and Brant Porter; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Sandy Stewart; brothers, Robert and Sylvia Gani, Patrick and Hope Gani; aunt, “Tante” Matilda Bigio; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 11 am at Sunset Park Church of God, 3450 Michael Ave. SW, Wyoming with Rev. Paul Myers officiating. Interment will be at Warner Memorial Campground Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Warner Memorial Camp or Sunset Park Church of God.

Professor Gani, you've been in my thoughts. I'm heavy hearted knowing I missed you...you requested that I report back to you after my study abroad experience in Spain/Portugal. We would have enjoyed talking about all of the topics of my experiences.
May you rest in peace.

I knew him but a little, but I "got" him. Four times we charged that hill, and four times we were repulsed. He will be missed greatly. I'll have to see if we have any others in the back. My sympathies. He was everyone's father.

My heartfelt sympathy to families and friends. Lost of loved ones in death and coping with the big adjustments that such a great loss brings is never easy. Jehovah God will be our secure refuge knowing that He felt what we feel. The resurrection hope found in the Bible helps you to gain an inner calm and strength.-John 5:28,29. May you find comfort now by meditating on the prospect of meeting your loved ones again. For more information in God’s promises visit http://www.jw.org asel pun

Roland, you will be missed greatly! To all his family we send our warmest condolences. We knew Roland thru Sunset Park Church of God for many years. Though we left Sunset 16 years ago or so, every time we went to Sunset for a special or just to visit, Roland would always make a point of talking to us and telling us he missed us. He will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful example of Christ's love. Sincerely, Butch and Paula Hanges Paula Hanges

Mr. Gani was my professor at GRCC when I decided to return to college as a non-traditional student 4 years ago - he was extremely supportive (since I was the oldest one in the class at 37 years old). He encouraged me and pushed me to continue the journey. He was one of my all-time favorites. So sorry for your loss and may you be comforted at this time. Melissa Solle

I was very sorry to hear the news. Even though Roland and I met only a couple of times, I felt his gentleness, and have heard many good things. He was obviously very loved, and my thoughts and condolences go to all his family members. Ruth Bigio
