I worked with Rodger on the heart team at Covenant. He was a quiet and gentle man, always with something to say.😊. My uncle wa a patient of his and they came to be friends and Rodger did some wood cutting for them. He is a great man and will truly be missed. Fly high Rodger, Rest In Peace!

I worked across the operating room table in open heart surgery with Roger for nearly 15 years. We had incredible conversations and he taught me much. We both enjoyed woodworking and I enjoyed his input to different projects. Roger was a gentle soul who left a large void that cannot be filled. He will be missed. His baking skills were legendary, not that I got to taste much of it because by the time I got of surgery, it was usually gone…Rest well my friend, although he’s almost certainly got a waiting list for his chest clinic that he probably is setting up . He was an amazing man, honored to call him my friend. Go Air Force!

Our family is so sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. We thought of Roger as an angel walking on Earth. He cared for our mother on several occasions and each time he put her at ease with his quick wit, and his gentle and caring ways.

Our deepest sympathies upon Roger’s passing. We both viewed him as a friend and had the deepest respect for his abilities and dedication to his family, his profession and his patients. In our experience he always did the right thing for the reasons. Roger would light a room up by just his presence. Roger will always bring a smile to my face and make me thankful I had such a good friend. Rest In Peace Roger, you are missed already. Jay & Joann Summer

So sorry for your loss! Roger was one of a kind, he was so sweet, and very intelligent. He loved to joke, and put a smile on others faces. He will be deeply missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I worked with Roger for many years my heart just breaks. He was such a great co-worker and so caring with his patients and listened to them and their needs and concerns, you could ask Roger anything and he knew the answer. He also loved to bake and would bring baked goods into work for us. Prayers to you April and your family.
