Roger VanBelois

Roger Jay VanBelois, age 89, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Roger and Arline enjoyed traveling around the country and especially enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months. He was a hard worker and also showed his talents through woodworking and wood burning. He was preceded in death by, Robert “Bobby” Yaeger; Robin Yaeger; parents, Abraham and Francis VanBelois; stepmother, Josephine VanBelois; brother, Wayne VanBelois; and brother-in-law; Walter Peevy, Randy Peevy. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 40 years, Arline VanBelois; children, Pam and Roger Young, Brenda VanderMeer, Michelle Jett, Kathy and Joe Bush; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Yaeger; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Sandra Peevy, Mark and Estel Peevy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice or the Humane Society of West Michigan.
