Although we did not know Roger well, we were acquainted with him through mutual friends at Venture Out. We are shocked and saddened by his passing. He seemed to be such a nice, nice man. Our condolences to Karen and family.

Karen and family....just learned of Roger's passing, and I am heartbroken for all of you. Our first meeting was when I was Kevin's first grade teacher, oh so long ago! So many memories with the Central staff parties also. Sorry we lost touch...would love to see you. Hugs and love from Marta and Jim Pullen.

While I was a builder, Rog and Larry, and Kevin, were the only drywallers I ever used. I always enjoyed talking to Rog, about sports and softball especially. I have not seen Rog fo some time and this is really a shock. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Karen, Sherri and Kevin, There are no words to express how broken our hearts were when we got the call from Karen that Roger had passed away. We lost a friend! A one of a kind friend! We weren't expecting to hear this when we said our good-byes in March at Venture Out. It was one of those "good-byes" that still planned on seeing Roger and Karen again, if just for a visit back to Venture Out knowing that they wouldn't be able to stay away too long as there daughter Sherri, husband Neil and grandson Ryan lived in Scottsdale, Az. Ryan was the reason for the gleam in his grandpa's eyes! Karen & Roger spent much of there time watching Ryan in his sporting activities and just plain wanting to be with him. We are so thankful for the friendship that developed through Larry & Roger playing on the same softball team. We have so many wonderful memories we'll forever treasure, either on the golf course, playing cards, happy hours, eating out, ball games, and visiting each other either here in Iowa or in Michigan. We'll always treasure the memory of Roger's innocent, boyish, loving smile that no one will ever be able to imitate! We love you Roger & Karen and we pray that all of your special memories will keep your hearts warm, give you the peace and strength you need at this most difficult time. God bless each of you and know that our love, thoughts and prayers are there with you!! Warm Hugs, Larry & Joyce

Karen, Sherri, and Kevin, The greatness of man is measured in his integrity and how positively he affected people around him. Roger was generous, kind, and always positive. Roger lived his life with a joy and happiness. He appreciated every day. I enjoyed the conversations with Roger more than he will ever know. Thank you Roger Karen, Sherri and Kevin for allowing me to grow up with and around your family. You are in my thoughts and Roger is forever in my memories. Roger is an all time great, first ballot to the HOF of life.
