Roger J. Groenendyk, age 84, of Wyoming, was delivered from this life and walked into the arms of his Savior on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. He retired as a printer of over 40 years from Christian Reformed Church Publications. Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Jay. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Marlene; his children, Randall and Betsy Groendyk, Steven and Diana Groenendyk, Cheryl and Ron Smit, Todd and Lisa Groenendyk; grandchildren, David and Aniate Groendyk, Sara and Jordan Bakker, Kris Groendyk, Ethan Groenendyk, Meghan Groenendyk, Madalyn Groenendyk, Lily Groenendyk, Nick Smit, Cody Smit, and Eric Smit; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Char Groenendyk; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anne Groenendyk, Gesena Groenendyk, Ruth and George Fennema, LaVonne and Bert Bakhuyzen; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Southwest Protestant Reformed Church, 4875 Ivanrest Avenue SW, Grandville with Rev. David Noorman officiating. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive SW.

Marlene and family, As I told you on the phone,we're not well enough to come to the funeral, but be sure we are praying for all of you. Rog and I have many good memories going back to our youth, and we will miss him.
