Roger W. Hoffius, age 59, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Roger was a kind and loving dad, grandpa, and brother who was blessed with a servant’s heart. His desire to always put others before himself was evident to all who knew him. He treasured his family, and his grandchildren were the joy of his life. Roger was a faithful employee of Baker Furniture for 16 years. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing and camping. Roger also had a deep love for music; many hours were spent playing his guitar. Most of all, he always needed to be busy doing something. Many hours were spent fixing things, woodworking, and just helping whomever he could with a project. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Hoffius and Gloria Barrett. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jesica Andrews and Eric Brown; his grandchildren, Riley Andrews, Hadley Karchinski; his siblings, Keith and Julie Hoffius, Cindy Mitchell, Debbie Hoffius; his stepfather, Albert Barrett. A memorial visitation to celebrate Roger’s life will be held Sunday, April 18 from 2-4 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
