Roger A. Zylema, age 90, formerly of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Roger was a Korean Army veteran and a retiree of General Motors - 36th Street plant. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, and his brother, Jon Zylema. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Pat and Bill Feyen, Mike and Mary Zylema, Judi Zylema, Jana and Vern Van Halm; grandchildren: Brent and Betsy Feyen, Kate and Jamie Thrams, Amanda Feyen, Jenna Zylema, Anna and Phil Van Strien, Matthew Essenburg, Brianna VanHalm, Kaylee VanHalm; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Delores and Dale Sall, Mary and Paul VerWoert; brother, Jay and Lyn Zylema; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan Zylema, Dick and Louise Van Loo, Norma Van Loo; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave. SW, Byron Center, with Pastor Richard Hartwell officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.
