Robert Wolters

Robert Dale Wolters, age 82, of Hudsonville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 29, 2021. Bob was born May 3, 1938. Growing up in Holland, Michigan, he met his wife, Mildred, before serving honorably in the U.S. Army. Bob had a lifelong, successful career as a residential painter. He enjoyed hunting, antique cars, and serving selflessly in countless ways at 12th Avenue Christian Reformed Church. However, Bob was most passionate for his dear wife and the devoted family with which they were blessed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Wolters; siblings: Glenn, Herbert, Warren, Ruth, and Dorothy Hegedus; sister-in-law, Donna Wolters; and brother-in-law, Don Derks. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Wolters; children: Dawn and Jim Schutte, Diane and Brian Klooster, Debbie and Rich Hastings, Dan and Kristy Wolters; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Derks; brothers: Edward Wolters, Don and Joyce Wolters, Randy and Marilyn Wolters; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Wolters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone United Reformed Church, 6442 36th Ave. Hudsonville, with Rev. Philip Vos officiating. The burial will take place at Hanley Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, March 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 0-60 Port Sheldon SW, Grandville. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Unity Christian High School.
