Van Oeveren, Robert Neal VAN OEVEREN:  Robert Neal Van Oeveren, age 80, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2012.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa.  He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.  He loved the outdoors, enjoyed gardening and telling stories to his grandkids.  He will be dearly missed by his wife of 57 years, Wilma (Haveman); their children, Michael and Helena Van Oeveren, Cheryl and Robert Bouwman, Nancy and Dan Driesenga, Cindy and Rich Wittingen, Terri and Larry Kooienga; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Van Oeveren, Gerald and Karen Van Oeveren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Ted Lucas, Helen Wedeven, Julius and Bea Haveman, Gerald and Sady Haveman, Carolyn and Gary Van Hill, Geraldine Haveman, Florence Haveman; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11 am on Thursday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (corner of Avery and Scott St.) 6651 Scott St., Allendale, with Rev. Nancy Boelens officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
