Robert Uturo

Robert Uturo, age 75, of Wyoming passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Uturo. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Sharlene; children, Eric and Diana Uturo, Marc and Tammy Uturo; eight grandchildren; brother, Gary “Butch” Uturo; sister, Stella and Don Phillips; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Bob retired from Steelcase after 30 years of service and kept in touch with many of his coworkers, most especially his golf partner, Doug Miller. Bob liked to play golf, go to the casino and collect baseball cards. He also enjoyed taking drives and color tours with his wife and eating Italian lemon ice. Some of his greatest joy came from watching his grandchildren play at their various sports and activities. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Wednesday, November 6 at  St. Pius Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, November 5 from 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming and Wednesday from 10-10:45am at the church. A Rosary service will be held on Tuesday, 7:30pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital or the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan.
