Robert Slagter, age 42, of Casnovia, MI, formerly of Grandville, passed quietly into the presence of Jesus on Friday, November 6, 2015. Robert will be lovingly missed by his beloved daughter, his “Princess” and light of his life, Rachael Slagter of Casnovia; his parents, Stephen and Sandra Slagter of Casnovia; brother, Paul (Angie) Slagter of Rockford; nephew, Allen Slagter of Evart; nieces, Emily and Josilyn Slagter of Rockford. Robert was a 1991 graduate of Grandville High School and an avid sportsman. A funeral service will be held on Thursday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor DanVan Belzen officiating. Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
