Robert “Bob” Lynn Mesbergen, age 70, of Hudsonville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Bob was a veteran and enjoyed fishing and Michigan sports. He was a very devoted “papa”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold “Rudy” and Irene Mesbergen; and parents-in-law, Harvey and Jean Aten. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years, Ruth; his children and grandchildren, Ryan and Rebeka Mesbergen (Reka), Ross and Marilynn Mesbergen (Lily and Ruby); siblings, Bill and Sonia Mesbergen, Kay and Dave Poskey, Roger and Wanda Mesbergen, Beth and Keith Vanden Bosch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Aten, Ken and Judi Aten, Greg and Gail Aten, Jan and Jim Aukeman; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th St., Jenison, with Rev. Jake Weeda officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, September 9, from 5-8 p.m. at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Christian School or Allendale Christian School.
