Remembering Robert Lee Elderkin
Robert Lee Elderkin, aged 78 of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean Elderkin. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sylvia; sons: Alan, Blake (Pam); two granddaughters: Amber and Kaleigh; sister, Gail (Jim) Clement; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bob was a strong, determined man that suffered many physical illnesses but never complained and didn’t want to bother anyone else with his problems. He was hard working and industrious, always willing to help others if he was able. He enjoyed reading books, black and white photography, landscape and nature painting, and classic cars. A funeral service for Robert will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Psoriasis Foundation.
