Robert Lee Brown

Robert (Bob) Lee Brown, age 74, of Jenison was called home to his Lord and Savior on August 2, 2023. He was born in Hurley, VA, to the late Charles and Elsie Brown. Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Anne Brown; sons Chris (Roxanne Morris) Brown and Rob (Kristen) Brown; 5 grandchildren, Brittany, Samantha (Chris), Hunter (Lexi), Chase, and Cayla; 5 great-grandchildren; brother; sisters; brothers-in-law; many nieces, nephews; and special lifelong friends. Bob was a decorated Vietnam War veteran, having served from 1967 to 1971 in the U.S. Army. He retired from DTE Energy, after 31 years of dedicated service. His selflessness was a true testament to the man he was. Always making sure other needs were met before his own. His devotion to his family was unmatched. He welcomed each new member by birth or marriage with open arms of love and joy. His passion for bass fishing tournaments added to his gift of being a people person. With this love of fishing, he met many people through the years who he called friends. His humor and charm will be sorely missed but not forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those wishing to make a memorial tribute to consider the Leukemia Research Foundation.
