Robert La Mora Sr.

Robert La Mora Sr., age 96, of Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florentine; two grandsons; parents, Louis and Sarah (Golden) La Mora. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Robert C. Jr., Earl and Doris, Alex, Michael and Vita, Jon, Chris and Betsy; eleven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Paoli; brother, Alfred La Mora; many nieces and nephews. Robert proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from Bissell Corp. after 30 years and retired from Kent Co. Sheriff Reserves after 35 years of service. A Mass of Christian Burial  will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1630 Godfrey Ave SW; with Fr. Stephen Dudek presiding. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lowell. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW., Wyoming, and also from 1 to 2 pm Saturday at the church. A Rosary service will be held Friday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
