Robert James Kneibel

Robert James Kneibel, aged 84 of Wyoming, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 14, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; brothers, Stephen and Joseph; and sister-in-law, Doris Kneibel. He is survived by his sons, Dennis (Marcy) Kneibel, Mark (Jan) Kneibel; grandchildren, Stacy (Justin) Verburg, Brian (Amber) Kneibel, Jason (Jessica) Kneibel, Daniel (Chelsea) Kneibel, Matthew and Mitchell Kneibel; great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Sophia Verburg, Shaylee Jene Kneibel; brothers, Ted (Joan) Kneibel, John (Evelyn) Kneibel; special niece, Bonnie Cave; and other nieces and nephews. Bob was a life-long member of the Casino Club. He retired from the City of Grand Rapids Water Department after 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and Detroit Tigers fan. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 1:30 pm at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin, Jenison with Fr. Phil Shangraw presiding. Relatives and friends may meet the family at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive, Grandville on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and also at the church on Thursday from 12:30-1:30 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House or Lincoln Square Enrichment Fund.
