Robert Evenhouse

EVENHOUSE - Robert John Evenhouse, 83, died peacefully at home on Tuesday surrounded by his family. Bob was born July 27, 1927 in Cicero, IL to John & Mattie Evenhouse. He will be missed by many, especially his wife, Neva; sons, Mark (Shelley), Keith (Laura) and Richard; cherished grandchildren, Erin, David & Kate; brothers, Henry (Janet), Bernie (Janice); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Robbie; and his sister, Marge Agema (Ted). Bob served his country, family, friends & strangers selflessly, with respect and compassion. A kind, thoughtful and sweet man, he was always looking out for the needs of others regardless of status, and helpful to anyone he could help. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 on Friday June 3 at Central Reformed Church located at 10 College Ave NE in Grand Rapids where Bob was an active member. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 on Saturday at the church. A Private Committal service will be held at 10:00 for family members. Rev. Dr. Lou Lotz, Rev. Len VanderZee & Rev. John VanderZee will participate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holland Home, Western Theological Seminary or Central Reformed Church.
