Robert Estel Agents, age 75, of Byron Center, was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 15, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Beatrice Agents, and his first wife of 25 years, Nancy (Mulrenan) Agents. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Mary Wood-Agents, children: Christopher (Samantha) Agents, Patrick (Yesica) Agents, and Jennifer (Steven) Tole, stepchildren: Jonathan (Brittany Bosscher-Wood) Wood and Christina (Jonathan) Baugher, and 13 grandchildren. Bob was a selfless, caring individual who always put others before himself. He was born with a servant’s heart. Bob was a partner in the law firm of Sluiter, Agents, Winther, Carlson, and VanGessel that for many years served as the City Attorney for the City of Wyoming. He was an active and faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary, Holy Family, and St. Sebastian Catholic Churches. He was a member of the Pastoral Council and Eucharistic Minister of his churches and a member of the boards for Catholic Central High School and Safe Haven Ministries. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had an active lifestyle and enjoyed skiing, golf, fishing, hiking, boating, photography and traveling with his family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his grandchildren play sports. He was also an avid MSU supporter and established an endowment in Nancy’s name. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1935 Plymouth SE, Grand Rapids with visitation 45 minutes prior.
