Robert C. Ryzanca, age 79, died at his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, after a courageous 4 year battle with congestive heart failure, pulmonary fibrosis and diabetes. Bob was born March 26, 1938 in Munising, MI to Stanley and Apolonia Rzanca, immigrants from Poland. Bob was a U.S. Army military policeman stationed in Stuttgart, Germany from 1956 to 1959. He served on the Holland Police Department as patrolman, corporal and detective from 1960 to 1979. Following that, he was Security Post Commander at Palisades Nuclear Plant. His longest career was in the field of insurance where he and his wife, Denise, grew a company from 2 agents to 300 agents in 30 states. At the time of his death, he was Vice President of Marketing for the United States Fire Insurance Company of Houston, TX. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Denise; his sons, Kevin Ryzanca, Daniel (Rosa) Ryzanca; grandsons, Bradley and Kyle Ryzanca; granddaughter, Jodyann (Riley) Burnham; great grandchild Colton Heller; sisters, Pauline Wlodarczyk of Rohnert Park, CA, Margaret (Vic) Sobol of Palos Heights, IL; niece, Michelle (Kurt) Homkes; nephew, Eli (Keilin) Hooker; and many nephews and nieces; Goddaughter, Sonja Cubillo; Godson, Mario Matanovic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Fr. Mike Alber Celebrant. Inurnment North Holland Cemetery at a later date.

Bob was such a wonderful person. He was kind, generous and always there to help others. He also had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. Everybody loved Bob and he is already very much missed. God Bless his Soul. Love, Mike and Cheryl
