Robert Allen Sietsema

Robert Sietsema, age 74, of Hudsonville, a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior, was called home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Bob was born and raised as a farmer. He proudly served in the US Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He later married his wife, Bonnie, and they worked side by side as greenhouse owners. He enjoyed tractor pulling, golf, traveling, and spending time at the cottage. He loved and cherished his family, but above all loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Celia Sietsema; sister, Jane Sietsema; and parents-in-law, Jerry and Jeanette DeHaan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Bonnie; children, Jodi and Chad Ayers, Dawn Foster, Ross and Kristin Sietsema; Jeremy Foster; grandchildren, Ashley, Aubrey, Bailey, Cailey, Morgan, Kaitlin, Addison, Haleigh, Bria, Nolan, and Ellery; brothers and sister, Harley and Marcia Sietsema, Tony and Linda Sietsma, Wes and Gail Sietsema, and Deb Rotman; sisters-in-law, Gloria and Jim Scholten, Linda and Gord Pols; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Fellowship Reformed Church, 6610 36th Ave, Hudsonville, with Pastor John Nauta officiating. Burial Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, June 1, from 5-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, and Wednesday 10-11 am prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Samaritan’s Purse.

I remember Robert fondly recalling tractor pulling, being pulled on a toboggan behind a tractor and just having fun. My deepest sympathy to his loved ones . Robert was one of the''good guys" in this world.
